Tacos ATLA, Enrique Olvera's latest project, is coming soon to Williamsburg, Brooklyn! We are currently seeking an experienced Restaurant Managerto join our team.2 years sous chef experience
Culinary Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of authentic and high-quality Mexican cuisine.
  • Develop and refine menu items, ensuring consistency and adherence to established recipes.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks on food items and service standards.

Operational Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and fresh ingredient deliveries.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, payroll, and timekeeping.
  • Implement and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
  • Implement improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses.
  • Responsible for managing ongoing repairs and maintenance.
  • Health Department audits with a 90% (A) or better.
  • Training staff on proper sanitation guidelines.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain a skilled and efficient BOH team.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new team members in both FOH and BOH positions.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Manage assigned staff, including scheduling, performance feedback, discipline, investigations, and terminations.
  • Responsible for ongoing training and professional development of staff members.
  • Staff administration, selection, induction to the position, and onboarding for new hires with weekly evaluations.

Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with upper management on budgeting and financial goals.
  • Responsible for achieving or exceeding written restaurant budgets for revenues, FOH/BOH labor cost, direct op expenses, and EBITDA.
  • Sets operational goals and follow-up plans for the work unit.

Customer Service:

  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
  • Manage the restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it.
  • Monitors commitment to Service/Mystery Guest scores, corporate support staff visitation notes, etc.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years proven experience in culinary management, preferably fast casual.

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Proficient in using POS systems and other relevant restaurant management software. ( Craftable, Toast)
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Bi-Lingual English / Spanish a plus
Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00 - $70,000.00)
