Hospital Pharmacy Technician
TACT Medical Staffing is seeking a passionate and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team! As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for Chemotherapy/hazardous chemical handling are nice to have, and/or clerical & administrative skills/experience are nice to have, and/or Inventory/narcotic control. The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities. Additionally, you must be able to work alone and with a team and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs accurate pharmacy calculations and counting (e.g., anti-infectives, electrolytes, narcotics, script preparations) and verified with pharmacist.
- Identifies and remove prescriptions not picked up within 7 days and escalate to pharmacist for crediting within 72 hours.
- Returns Grey bins/Robot med cart to Main Pharmacy when they are empty.
- Performs drug transfer process without error (e.g., document transfer within accountability logs, ensure sufficient supply on site
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician
- NYS Licensed
- PTCB preferred
