Job Description & Requirements

Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply.
Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
We are only permitted to submit 2 candidates per opening, if the position is at max, we will hold on to the submission if a spot opens up
Unit 7 WEST (Stepdown & Floor)
# of beds 32 Total Beds (12 are Stepdown & 20 are 'Floor')
Ratios "1:3 for Stepdown
1:4-6 for 'Floor' "
Required Certifications BLS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients Typical MedSurg population. Chest Pain, COPD, AMS, Pneumonia, UTI, Abdominal Pain, Overflow for most services, hospice (will 'flip' patients to GIP Hospice on 7 West)
Experience Or 'Must Have' Skills UnknownAre RNs required to titrate drips? Unknown
Common titratable &/or set rate drips Yes - Drips in Stepdown, floor only gets PCAs, heparin, etc.
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor They are budgeted for a free charge nurse per unit & House Supervisor is always available
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Run with 4 if fully staffed for 32 beds
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc.) Per RT
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor techs? RNs read strips? Yes - They have Tele. RN's must be able to read strips in conjunction with the telemetry monitor techs that continuously monitor strips
Weekend Requirement 2 Weekends per schedule
Holiday Requirement Work into the perm staff holiday schedule
Is there a call or standby requirement? Unknown
Floating Requirement Can be pulled to any floor or stepdown unit
Scrub Color/Dress code Royal Blue
