We have an outstanding Contract position for an Electronics Inspector to join a leading Company located in the Laurel, MD surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities : Verify the compliance of assembled printed circuit boards with engineering documentation, manufacturing build plans, and industry workmanship standards via visual and other inspection methods.
Work includes both visual and machine-aided inspection (X-ray, AOI, basic test equipment).Accurately record as-built information, nonconformance information, traceability requirements, labor hours, and other product attributes into computer databases.
Collaborate with assembly technicians, manufacturing, and project engineers in the disposition of nonconforming products identified during inspection.
Must have IPC-J-STD-001 with Space addendum certification.Must be able to interpret both formal and informal assembly requirements and documentation.
Are customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and following verbal and written instructions.
Have the ability to inspect to different levels of requirements depending on the task at hand.Are able to function as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications : Have AA degree or equivalent experience or other education in electronics.Have NASA-STD-8739.1 Certification.
Have WHMA / IPC-A-620 Certification.Have had experience with x-ray and automated optical inspection equipment.Have 5 or more years of experience working of spaceflight electronics.
