TAG-B Transportation is Hiring a Safety Compliance Officer Near Washington, DC
TAG-B Group operates one of the largest chauffeured fleets in the Washington metropolitan area and is one of the largest providers of passenger transportation, luxury transportation, parking services and government contract services. TAG-B is seeking an experienced Safety Compliance Officer who is passionate about improving safety to conduct vehicle accident investigations and oversee safety training for our staff of drivers.
Job Summary
The Safety Compliance Officer's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Investigating accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures and conduct safety inspections.
- Being the first contact to initiate worker compensation claims and filing claims with Risk Management and the insurance company.
- Reporting and or reviewing findings from safety inspections, safety evaluations, and accident investigations to General Manager and TAG-B Transportation Operation Managers and making recommendations from findings to improve safety.
- Maintaining an open line of communication and working closely with the TAG-B Transportation on safety and insurance matters and maintaining liaisons with outside organizations such as the fire department, police department, and rescue teams.
- Conducting training including, but not limited to, behind-the-wheel, script and route training, worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations (such as but not limited to DOT) hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment for drivers and non-drivers.
- Oversee special projects to ensure that facilities meet environmental, health, and security standards and comply with government regulations.
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent.
Two years of college are desirable.
Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past five years.
