Job Overview - Director of Pharmacy :
Our healthcare client is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to join their expanding team. This pivotal role involves overseeing pharmacy operations, intake, and shipping / receiving, while working collaboratively with sales and nursing teams.
Location : Chesapeake, VA
Compensation : $125,000 - $145,000 / year
Schedule : 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Director of Pharmacy :
- Performance Evaluation : Work with managers and sales staff to evaluate monthly P&L and develop strategies for performance improvement.
- Goal Setting : Establish and implement short-and-long term goals ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
- Staff Management : Hire, coach, mentor, lead, and develop staff, perform performance appraisals, and take disciplinary actions when necessary.
Qualifications for the Director of Pharmacy :
- Education : Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy preferred)
- Licensure : Current and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of Virginia
- Experience : 5 years of prior management experience; 3 years of previous home infusion experience Application Notice : Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
