Job Purpose:

The Data Control Analyst is the first level of support within the back-office operations production environment. This role requires a general understanding of financial markets, GMI back-office solutions software, and the full transaction cycle. Strong analytical skills are essential for troubleshooting issues and providing support to various project managers and leads.

ETD Operations supports:

• Execution, clearing, and allocation of trades and position transfers to the highest quality standards.
• Futures and Options position life cycle management including option exercise and assignments, physical deliveries, expirations, last trade date monitoring, long date reporting, open interest adjustments, and regulator inquiries.
• Daily Reconciliation and exception resolution, maintaining the integrity of the sub-ledger for Listed and OTC Futures and Options products.
• Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting to Futures Exchanges and Regulators
• Setup and maintenance of static data, clearing fees and memberships within sub ledger and Exchanges.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry mandates across 15 Legal Entities
• Production of reports and information required to comply with regulatory requirements and internal control policies.
• Researching and resolving problems within the line of business
• Day-to-day analysis, research, and resolution of varied problems

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain communication between various business lines and internal technology teams or vendors.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing input and guidance to project managers and leads on complex initiatives within the F&O organization.
• Generate ad-hoc reports as requested by regulators performing audits.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Perform senior software QA testing, ensuring the full system development lifecycle, tracking reported issues, and validating changes within GMI and custom processes.
• Create job flow charts for process improvement and enhance user understanding through group and individual training sessions and user-friendly training materials.
• Troubleshoot user issues, analyze root causes, and take corrective actions in collaboration with internal departments.
• Maintain vendor parameters, profiles, and contracts in global environments.
• Handle daily BAU tasks, including reconciliation and correction of the internal general ledger, risk analysis via auto-generated alert reports, and data mining.
• Contribute to business risk security by maintaining user groups to regulate the authority of over 600 users on the GMI system.

Core Skills:

• Experience using GMI back-office software and third-party systems like Cesium, EFS, and BPS.
• Strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create PowerPoint presentations and process flow charts using Visio.
• Confident communicator who proactively identifies and raises risks and issues.
• Flexible in adjusting to demands and challenges, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication, partnership, and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to identifying and driving improvements to existing processes.
• Intellectually curious with an understanding of process drivers, risk assessment, control design, and implementation plans to streamline processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in maintaining static data elements within financial applications.
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations and prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated experience with GMI back-office software and an understanding of Exchange Trade Derivatives, Futures & Options.
