Needs to possess exceptional interpersonal and hospitality skills to ensure a positive patient experience. Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, obtaining and maintaining medical records, and billing. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, collecting other labratory specimens, and drawing blood if trained.

Skills

• Proficient in English language
• Billingual (Spanish) is preferred
• Phlebotomy skills (not a requirement)
• Proven experience as a medical assistant
• Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
