Talascend - Where Opportunities Await. is Hiring an Electrician - 2nd Shift Near Columbus, IN

Talascend is actively searching for experienced Electrician candidates for direct hire, full-time career opportunities with our client in Columbus, IN.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the area at their own expense. OverviewOur client desires a skilled Electrician to join their team, focusing on the troubleshooting, assembly, testing, and maintenance of industrial electrical systems in their world-class, manufacturing operation. This role is vital in ensuring the continuous and safe operation of plant equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems to ensure equipment availability and functionality.
  • Execute electrical repairs and maintenance efficiently, adhering to applicable codes and standards.
  • Perform tasks using diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications, along with various tools and measuring instruments.
  • Participate actively in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) teams to enhance quality, safety, process efficiency, material flow, and employee development.
  • Uphold Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards by following safety protocols and procedures for working with electricity and industrial equipment; reporting incidents or hazards immediately.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification and experience.
  • Directly related experience in manufacturing/industrial setting; including, proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, reading electrical prints, and logical problem-solving for equipment diagnosis and repair.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, CNC Controls, Servos, Spindles, and Microns is advantageous.
  • Capability to work from heights, operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles (PIV), and use hoists and cranes.
  • Ability to persevere, even under challenging conditions.

  • Excellent communication skills, tailoring your message for the audience.
  • Must be availability to work 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM, overtime as needed.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics is a plus
