Talascend is currently seeking a Field Site Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer for a contract opportunity located in Richmond, VA.
Seeking local candidates or candidates willing to relocate on their own accord (this is not a remote position).
Candidates must be a US Citizen.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.

Candidates must be a US Citizen.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for study, design, specification, and services related to electrical systems including power generation, power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, lighting, motor control centers, communication systems, cathodic protection, grounding, lightning protection, heat tracing, etc.
- Responsible for design, specification, selection, and services relating to instrumentation and control systems including basic process control systems, safety systems, control panels, analyzer systems, telecommunications, field instrumentation, valves, etc.
- Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience.
- The candidate must have a complete understanding of instrumentation and control system design.
- The candidate must have a complete understanding of electrical system design.
- Have good understanding and knowledge of industry codes and standards (NFPA/NEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, API, and ASI).
- PE preferred, E & I is ideal but EE is ok.
- Fire alarm system experience is ideal but can be long term.
Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.
