Talascend is currently seeking a Material Control Specialist for a contract position located in Tewksbury, MA.

OVERVIEW :

The Material Control Specialist is responsible for planning, scheduling and managing the movement of material from receipt the warehouse to production.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Developing raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules as well as planning and managing material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
• Works to achieve day-to-day objectives that consist of non-routine activities and have significant impact on the work output.
• Works independently under limited supervision.
• Solves initially unclear problems and issues, which may require some analysis to understand and resolve.
• May be required to use discretion within the family's normal operating procedure to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of the family.
• Communicates with contacts typically on same project and within the family to obtain or provide information on matters of moderate importance to the job family.
• Has a basic understanding of all aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Receiving experience.
• Prior experience in Cycle Counting.
