Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Service Technician in Fitchburg, MA! Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for heavy equipment and machinery? In this role, you will troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble Rock Crushers, Screens, and material handling equipment within the Crushing and Screening sector throughout the New England area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose, disassemble, and assemble Rock Crushers, Screens, and material handling equipment.
- Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
- System Diagnosis: Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot, test, and service Metso equipment.
- Shop Maintenance: Maintain the shop facility and prepare and maintain records.
- Travel: Travel throughout the New England area servicing equipment as well as working in the shop.
- Experience: At least 1 year of mechanic experience with heavy rock crushing and screening aggregate equipment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Licensing: Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle heavy loads, climb machinery, and sustain prolonged periods of bending, kneeling, and raised-arm work.
Skills:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Mechanical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude for disassembling and assembling heavy equipment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and clients.
