• Examine Cost of Goods Sold: Investigate cost variances to identify underlying causes.
• Collect and Analyze Cost Data: Track, compile, and report on cost accounting information.
• Generate Standard Cost Reports: Monitor inventory labeling and compare standard costs against actual costs.
• Conduct Product Costing Studies: Analyze product costs and monitor cost variances.
• Record Cost Transactions: Make precise journal entries to reflect cost-related transactions.

Inventory Oversight

• Lead Inventory Automation: Spearhead the automation of inventory management and cost tracking using an ERP system.
• Maintain Accurate Inventory Records: Keep detailed records of inventory purchases, production, and depletion.
• Reconcile Inventory Counts: Compare periodic inventory counts with accounting records and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor Manufacturing Costs: Oversee the tracking of direct labor, overhead, and other manufacturing costs.
• Analyze Inventory KPIs: Evaluate inventory key performance indicators and estimate reserves for obsolete or slow-moving inventory.

Collaboration and Accuracy

• Collaborate with Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate costing, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Investigate Financial Discrepancies: Examine discrepancies in financial records and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Ensure GAAP Compliance: Interpret accounting standards and ensure adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Strategic Cost Management

• Develop Cost Reduction Strategies: Create and implement strategies to reduce costs and optimize pricing.
• Analyze Pricing Models: Evaluate pricing models to maximize the company's return on investment.
