CONTRACT TO HIRE
The ideal candidate will be must have strong month end close skills involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Generate precise and timely financial statements monthly for designated facilities.
- Create and post monthly journal entries along with necessary adjustments.
- Conduct comprehensive reconciliations of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.
- Update and maintain monthly supporting schedules (e.g., depreciation, amortization, roll-forward schedules).
- Analyze financial statement trends, suggest adjustments, and explain any variances.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure accuracy in invoices, payments, and accruals.
- Contribute to the preparation of various monthly reports for the management team.
- Assist in collecting supporting documents for audits, reviews, and tax engagements.
- Address and communicate account discrepancies.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2-3 years of experience as senior accountant.
4-6 years of experience as G/L accountant
Great Plains/NetSuite experience
Strong Excel
