Fast Growing Aerospace Manufacturing Division (160 annual sales) of a larger public company seeks a proven Supply Chain Manager for its Everett, WA site. Relocation support provided for this opportunity. This is a key role that will oversee the purchasing, planning, and warehousing functions for the site, reporting to the VP of Operations. Outstanding benefits include 4 weeks PTO, 100% tuition reimbursement, and every other Friday off. This role will lead and develop a talented team of procurement and planning professionals and work alongside other key managers in the company with the goal of improving established key performance indicators. This is a role with a lot of visibility and significant advancement potential beyond this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Management of and continuous improvement for:
-Internal supplier management process
-Ensuring suppliers are meeting or exceeding KPIs
-The commodity strategy for all product lines; ensuring alignment with the goals of each business unit
-Supply Chain data analysis; ensuring current and detailed inventories of materials and supplies in all phases of the manufacturing process; responsible for accurately managing inventory levels to planned targets
-Effective maintenance of the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production
-Optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution; effectively implementing improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company
-Lead and strategically negotiate long-term agreements (LTAs) and master service agreements (MSAs) with suppliers; consistently ensuring cost reduction, favorable terms, and ability to meet commitments
-Participate as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials
-Partner successfully with the broader team, to help drive needed engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions
