Regional Clinical Director for Skilled Nursing Facilities

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Regional Clinical Director to oversee the clinical operations of two skilled nursing facilities located in Ulster and Rockland Counties, New York. This role focuses on ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance across both facilities. The Ulster County facility has 180 beds, while the Rockland County facility specializes in Neurobiological Integration (NBI) with a 1:1 care ratio for its 20 beds. The Regional Clinical Director will provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing staff and administrators, driving quality care initiatives and regulatory compliance.

As a Regional Clinical Director, you will regularly visit both facilities to provide hands-on clinical leadership and support. Your responsibilities will include overseeing clinical services, ensuring compliance with survey regulations, and supporting the development and implementation of resident care programs. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) at each facility to maintain the highest standards of resident care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Oversight: Manage and support the clinical services at both facilities, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality of Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care, particularly in the specialized NBI facility, maintaining a 1:1 care ratio.
  • Survey Readiness: Prepare facilities for state and federal surveys, ensuring full compliance with all regulations and follow-up on survey results.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to the nursing staff and administrators, fostering a resident-centered approach to care.
  • Program Implementation: Oversee the implementation of clinical programs and best practices, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Incident Management: Review and follow-up on facility incident reports, developing and monitoring plans of correction as needed.
  • Performance Improvement: Identify clinical performance trends, develop corrective action plans, and support facilities in achieving quality objectives.
  • Consultation: Provide clinical consultation and recommendations to improve resident care services, and prepare written reports on areas of concern.

Qualifications and Preferred Candidate Qualities:

  • Must hold a current, unencumbered nursing license for New York State.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred. Advanced certification in geriatric care is a plus.
  • At least five years of registered nursing experience in long-term care, with regional or multi-facility management experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal survey processes and regulations, with a track record of successful survey outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and develop clinical staff.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between Ulster and Rockland Counties.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $130,000 base salary, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of clinical care in our facilities while fostering professional growth and operational excellence.
