Job Title: Field Sheet Metal Worker

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay: $20-$30/hr

Job Description:

• Fabricate and install ductwork, fittings, and other sheet metal products on-site according to specifications and blueprints.

• Conduct on-site repairs and maintenance of HVAC systems and sheet metal components to ensure they function optimally and comply with safety standards.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of HVAC systems and required materials for field projects.

• Accurately measure and cut sheet metal to required dimensions using hand tools, power tools, and machinery while on job sites.

• Perform welding, soldering, and riveting on-site to assemble and secure sheet metal parts.

• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

• Communicate effectively with clients on-site to ensure their needs are met and provide updates on project status.

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment on-site.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Worker in the HVAC industry.

• Proficiency in fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and HVAC systems on-site.

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, blueprints, and building codes.

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal machinery.

• Skilled in on-site welding, soldering, and riveting techniques.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various field conditions.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
