Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registrar to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient patient registration and providing essential administrative support in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Duties:

- Register patients accurately and efficiently in the emergency department
- Verify patient demographic information and insurance details
- Obtain necessary signatures and consent forms from patients or their legal representatives
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
- Assist with coordinating patient transfers to other departments or facilities
- Handle inquiries from patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding registration processes

Experience:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

- Proficiency in medical terminology, standards, and procedures
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in emergency or trauma medicine
- Knowledge of Laboratory, PICU, Hospice Palliative Medicine, and Infant Care practices
- Familiarity with suture techniques is a plus
- Ability to lift and move patients when necessary
