Job Description: Business Analyst/Quality Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a local Business Analyst/Quality Analyst to support high-profile modernization efforts. This position requires the contractor to be onsite 2 days/week. The selected individual will join a talented team working on mission-critical applications using Agile methodologies, focusing on enhancements to unemployment tax systems and data warehouse/reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements by leading sessions with stakeholders.
• Validate requirements with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Develop and maintain requirements and use case documentation.
• Test system functionality to ensure it meets requirements and specifications.
• Identify, develop, and manage necessary test data.
• Create, execute, and manage test plans.
• Train staff on new system functionalities.
• Report on project progress and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Utilize Atlassian Suite tools, such as Jira and Confluence, for project management and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Proven involvement in prior technology implementations.
  • Experience in leading requirements gathering and validation sessions.
  • Background in Finance/Accounting projects is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in using the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of business analysis and quality assurance practices.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to contribute as a strong team player.
• Additional Skills:
  • Scrum Master skills are highly desirable.
