Job Description: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA (Local candidates preferred)

Interview Process:

Overview:

The Senior Business Analyst will support the project to design and implement a new Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and data exchange.

Project Description:

The project involves modernizing the existing data warehouse by adopting a new cloud architecture, integrating various source systems, and implementing a Master Person Identifier (MPI) to link individuals across data sources. The project will include configuring connections to source systems and refactoring reports.

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Coordination: Extensively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Business Needs Analysis: Analyze business needs and document the data to be ingested into the EDW.
• Data Documentation: Create data dictionaries with input from data stewards.
• Report Requirements: Meet with stakeholders to document report requirements.
• Process Documentation: Work with business and IT to understand and document current business processes, identifying opportunities for streamlining.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements and adhere to data governance and security standards.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a business analyst in similar projects.
• Skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL querying skills.
  • Data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and ownership of work.

Preferred Candidates:

• Location: Local candidates of Richmond, VA, or within a 2-hour drive.
• Interviews: In-person interviews are required for local candidates; virtual interviews will be considered for those outside the preferred driving distance.
