Position Overview:

This role focuses on VPN technologies and data tunneling to ensure secure communication between various network segments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting network components, collaborating with security teams, and staying up-to-date with emerging network trends to enhance system performance and reliability. You will play a critical role in ensuring our network remains secure, efficient, and scalable to meet the growing needs of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain VPN solutions (Site-to-Site, Remote Access, SSL, IPSec) across multiple environments
• Implement and manage data tunnels for secure communication between different network segments
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues related to VPNs, data tunnels, firewalls, routers, and switches
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure network security measures comply with industry standards and best practices
• Perform regular network assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities, optimize performance, and ensure network reliability
• Assist in network planning and scaling to support growing business needs
• Document network configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Provide technical support and training to IT staff and end-users on network-related issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on VPNs and data tunnels
• 3 years of Azure experience -required
• Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
• Experience with network security practices, including firewalls, encryption, and authentication mechanisms
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools and technologies (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios)
• Hands-on experience with networking equipment from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network ) are a plus

Pay:

• $100,000 - $125,000 /YR

Location:

• Mostly REMOTE
• In-person team events/meetings
• Scottsdale, AZ
