Loss Prevention Financial Analyst

Duration : 9 months, through March 2025

Location : Hybrid in Framingham, MA

The LP Financial Analyst role involves exposure to expenses and capital across all areas of Loss Prevention (Home Office, Stores, Field, Supply Chain).

Responsibilities :

• Performs in-depth analysis, reporting and budgeting for payroll and travel expenses, headcount and capital.
• Reviews high-level assumptions to determine reasonability, with a concurrent focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Adapts as priorities realign based on business needs.
• Improves reports and streamlines processes.
• Communicates across the organization at all levels from entry level to senior leadership.
• Prepares weekly / monthly / quarterly reporting and exception management reports.
• Monitors, analyzes and reports on financial performance.
• Works closely with Physical Security Project Managers and suppliers on all areas of expense and capital spending.
• Collaborates with Home Office Loss Prevention Executives and Field LP Management to identify opportunities for expense reduction, reallocation and profit improvement.
• Special projects and analysis as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in retail investigations and experience with Internal or External Corporate Fraud.
• Consideration will also be given to Loss Prevention Managers with a proven history of successfully completing investigations.
• Experience with business intelligence and data analysis related to providing actionable data to investigate all forms of theft and fraud.
• Post-Secondary Education in a related discipline is preferred; experience in lieu of post-secondary education will be considered.
• Knowledge of the global and national retail landscape and market trends to support the development of future strategies and make business recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management, information gathering and coaching.
• Ability to influence others to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility.
• Strong problem-solving skills including analysis of information (i.e., requirements; description of problems), providing solutions with cost implications to effectively resolve issues and execute strategic solutions.
