Our client, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Newburgh, NY, seeks a Controller to join their team and to ensure that Management and Board of Directors receive timely and reliable financial information, establishing adequate internal controls, and oversee areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Budget, Purchasing and Payroll, as well as cash projections and liquidity projections.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise personnel within the Fiscal Department
• Oversee day to day accounting functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cash flow management.
• Direct and supervise the preparation of all financial reports.
• Direct and supervise the preparation of all financial reports for grant/contract requirements.
• Preparation of monthly, annual, and budgeted financial statements
• Coordination of external auditors.
• Assume additional managerial duties as appropriate to the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA/CMA preferred.
• 5 years of experience in health care fiscal management or applicable experience.

The compensation for this position ranges from $140,000.00 - $160,000.00. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
