Overview:

Our client, focused on serving both public and private sector clients is looking for a talented Civil Engineer. They value self-motivated individuals looking to collaborate and solve client challenges.

This opportunity would be within Bristol, TN. Ideal professionals would have 5 to 10 years of experience, are Licensed or eligible for the PE exam, and have a background in Civil or Environmental Engineering with expertise in Utilities and Treatment Plant Design.

Responsibilities:

• Review and apply municipal, local, state, and federal regulations for design parameters.
• Understand agency procedures for municipal water and wastewater systems.
• Conduct site visits, research, and due diligence for project initiation.
• Develop conceptual layouts based on client objectives and due diligence results.
• Manage and design water/wastewater line and plant projects.
• Perform calculations to ensure designs meet regulations.
• Prepare Technical Specifications and Construction Cost Estimates.
• Perform QA/QC on own designs and those of others.
• Organize all submittals and deliverables.
• Monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Train junior team members in technical design and company procedures as experience grows.

Minimum Requirements:

• 4 years of experience in Civil Engineering (7 years preferred)
• PE licensed in Tennessee (preferred), or able to obtain licensure within 6 months.
• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in WaterCad and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in designing water distribution or sewerage collection systems.
• Experience in designing water/wastewater treatment plants.
