TalentFish is Hiring a Key Account Manager Near Elgin, IL

Job Title: Key Account ManagerPrimary Location: Elgin, IL (Hybrid 3 days/wk in office)Position Type: Direct HireOverviewTalentFish is casting a line for a Key Account Manager. This is a hybrid, direct-hire role in Elgin, IL. This role will be responsible for retaining and expanding existing customer relationships developing/drafting sales proposals for new business, onboarding, and leading large-scale and/or strategic commercialization projects, including but not limited to new platform innovation initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, the Sciences, Engineering, or Operations Management MBA or MS preferred.
  • Previous experience with large food CPGs, preferably in supply chain or operations.
  • 3 years of experience in the food industry in a commercial role (Sales or Business Development).
  • Previous project management experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency required in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Prior contract manufacturing/packaging or other service-related experience is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (2-4 weeks/year).
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Superior strategic thinking and planning.
  • Must be results-driven and utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals.
Responsibilities
  • Leads interface with internal cross-functional parties, including engineering, planning, finance, sales, supply chain, and quality and external customer teams.
  • Provide support to the company for customer communications.
  • Handles complex projects from start to finish.
  • Develop customer proposals for new products and projects.
  • Penetrate assigned accounts of existing customers to generate and commercialize contract packaging projects that deliver profitable tolling revenue.
  • Leads trial(s) of assigned projects and is accountable for activities
  • Informs stakeholders on important and/or timely project information.
