What will you do:

As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that ensure compliance and efficiency in our trade operations:

• Daily Management: Oversee daily import and export activities, ensuring adherence to Trade Compliance policies and relevant customs regulations.
• Stakeholder Support: Provide expert guidance and support on trade compliance issues to key stakeholders across the organization.
• Issue Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for resolving operational trade issues within the GTE team.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on and interpret government regulations related to customs and export controls, ensuring compliance.
• Audit Support: Assist with customs-related audits and inspections, providing necessary documentation and expertise.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to support corporate planning initiatives and trade compliance needs.
• Export Control: Manage export controls and assist in obtaining necessary export permits and licenses.
• Customs Interaction: Engage with customs officials and third parties to resolve any customs issues or delays.
• Performance Metrics: Collect and report on key performance metrics related to trade transactions.
• Outsourced Services Oversight: Oversee the performance of outsourced brokerage services.
• Customs Warehouse Management: Ensure compliance with Customs Warehouse activities and maintain Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification.
• Process Improvement: Support the creation, documentation, and periodic updates of trade compliance processes and procedures.

Your qualifications and experience:

• Master’s or a Bachelor’s degree with 4 – 6 years of Trade Compliance experience
• Certification in EU Customs procedures
• Deep understanding of International Customs and World Trade Organization Regulations

Key Competencies:

• Expertise in customs processes such as valuation, commodity classification, and country of origin determination.
• Experience with EU customs procedures and complex customs matters.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and GDP requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Background in international trade law is a plus.

• Fulltime contract for one year with the intention to extend
• Salary between €5800,00 and €6400,00 based on skills and knowledge
• 30 holiday days
• 8% Holiday allowance
