Additionally, we take into consideration the following: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify problems and solutions Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong research, analytical and critical thinking skills Strong computer skills, including: Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel spreadsheets, Word processing, PowerPoint, e-mail and internet tools Mathematics and Engineering Principles – using mathematics and basic engineering principles to solve problems Ability to understand how buildings are constructed, hazards associated with various occupancies operations, and the ability to apply codes to ensure all are adequately protected. Assisting with projects related to enhancing the team’s use of technology as well as supporting consultants through the implementation. Supporting leadership in completing projects related to monitoring, operating, and adjusting the business model. Participating in property risk control/underwriting surveys for various clients in diverse industries with the goal of collecting and reporting building dara as well as identifying and mitigating risk. Witnessing hydrant and fire pump flow tests, analyzing sprinkler systems for adequacy, and evaluating special hazards. Consulting with clients on ways to control hazards in order to reduce or prevent losses. Influencing clients to implement recommendations. Communicating to team members on workload, status of projects. Reviewing and applying various codes such as NFPA. Qualifications: Degree: Engineering, fire protection engineering highly preffered Applicants for this role, part of the national Aon Summer Internship Program, should have a target graduation date of December 2024 – Summer 2025 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above. We do not offer sponsorship for this position. Participation in Aon's Summer Internship Program requires you to be in the United States for the duration of your internship. Compensation: The pay range for this position is $20 - $26 per hour.
