Human Resources Specialist

Talento has partnered with a leader in the South Florida Market seeking a Human Resources Specialist. As an HR Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience by overseeing payroll, benefits, HRIS, and more. Responsibilities:

• Perform payroll functions and calculations accurately and efficiently.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Process garnishments, child support, and other liens.
• Administer Paid Time Off and Leave of Absence programs.
• Coordinate HR practices including Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, and Onboarding.
• Maintain benefit enrollments and terminations.
• Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation.
• Validate COBRA enrollments and terminations.
• Maintain HRIS and Paycom self-service portal.
• Create and manage HRIS reports.
• Coordinate Tuition Reimbursement program.
• Coordinate internal employee transfers.
• Input and analyze background checks.
• Maintain organization charts.
• Additional projects as assigned.

Background for Success:

• Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
• Experience Requirements: 1-3 years of HR experience with emphasis in Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS.
• Compliance Requirements: Ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and SOPs.
• Excellent people skills, flexibility, good judgment, ability to handle confidential information, customer service orientation, excellent communication skills, proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Experience providing high-quality customer service in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple activities and projects, managing confidential/sensitive data.
