Job Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Company: SRT Group

Location: Sunrise, FL

SRT Group (https://www.srtgrp.com/) is a provider of best-in-class communications technologies for mission-critical government applications. We’re hiring a Systems QA Engineer to join our team. The Quality Assurance Engineer will work with our production team to conduct hardware testing to ensure we are putting out quality products.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform manual and automated testing on communications hardware.
  • Writing and executing manual test plans/test cases, documenting defects, and producing project status reports. 
  • Executing full system test plans as well as Production level test plans on released products prior to shipment to customers.
  • Interacting directly with Developers and Engineers. Work environment is fast paced and extremely dynamic. 
  • Manage tasks and workflow independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Think “outside of the box” to understand the various scenarios and configurations that customers use to ensure customer quality is maintained.
  • Test scripts should support the development teams capture logs and trigger various boundary or failure conditions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

What you will need to be successful: 

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or up to 3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in writing, executing, and monitoring test suites using a variety of technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of testing fundamentals such as unit, smoke, performance, integration, and regression testing.
  • Knowledge of wireless/networking protocol experience is a plus.
  • Ability to write and maintain test procedures and test plans.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance is preferred, but not required.
