The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Accounting manager to manage 4 entities through Canada and the US. This role will report directly into the Controller, and be responsible for overseeing a team of two. This candidate will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

What You'll Do:

• Manage close calendar and deadlines.
• Lead monthly Job Cost Review.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.
• Review weekly cash balances
• Maintain effective internal controls.
• Approve journal entries and validate transactions.
• Assist in developing procedures and implementing new accounting principles.
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Staff management

Who You Are:

• Bringing 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on job costing within union 
• Proficient in MS Excel, as well as accounting software
• Experience in the construction/building materials industry is a strong asset
