TITLE : AM MATERIAL HANDLER Warehouse (Stand-Up / Reach forklift operator)

M-F 7 : 00am 3 : 00pm

Wage : $17.00 / hr.

Job purpose

The Material Handler Level moves and store materials, records inventory, and performs quality checks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Responsibilities include ensuring material storage is in the proper location, maintaining accurate inventory records and inspecting incoming materials for damage.

This position is responsible for ensuring that materials are available when needed and at the required quality level.

Duties and responsibilities

Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and / or materials storage area.

Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials into and out of racking, onto and off trucks and loading docks.

Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator reports.

Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials in correct locations, recording location of inventory, and reporting any discrepancies.

Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery inspected and clean.

Other duties as assigned.

Follows all food safety guidelines and protocols.

Model the Company s Safety Culture and always strive for 100% Safety compliance.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule : other shifts, weekends, holidays as required.

Qualifications

Proficient with Stand Up Reach Truck

Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.

Ability to work and accommodate changing deadlines with a focus on organizational skills and initiative.

Ability to maintain high levels of the company requirements.

Ability to work well in both individual and team environments.

Ability to manage the technical capacity of tasks (i.E. Handling products, using our computer system, and department procedures).

Working conditions

Must be able to work any / all shifts as assigned or required.

Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Holidays and / or weekends as required.

Physical requirements

Pre-shift stretch and exercises to be performed

Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves where warranted.

Lifting at times of up to 50 lbs. Without assistance and standing for most of a shift
