JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary purpose:

The Program QA/QC Manager will be responsible for identifying, delivering and assuring successful quality targets for large infrastructure project portfolios. The individual will work to ensure that the program is delivered in compliance with the requirements identified within Tallgrass's processes and procedures.

The Program QA/QC Manager will work with the Project Management team to maintain standards across the growth portfolio. This will be done by implementing a Tallgrass Quality Management System that is also aligned ISO9001 and other industry standards. This will include developing KPIs, dashboards, procedures, best practices, lessons learned and reporting systems / applications which align to the Company's policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the quality and assurance strategy and overall management of the quality process and the delivery of quality activities, translating strategy into operating procedures.
  • Provide compliance measurement of program leadership with the governance processes, and continuous improvement of the governance provisions.
  • Responsible for the collation and escalation of assurance issues and concerns to the Project Manager and Project Leadership group.
  • Develop and Lead the Audit Program and support audits as necessary

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 15 years' experience in Quality Management across infrastructure programs of significant size and complexity, preferably within upstream, midstream and downstream or highly regulated industry
  • Hands on experience of a ISO9001 or equivalent environment
  • An awareness of ISO44001 Collaborative Business Relationship Management standard
  • In-depth knowledge of designing and implementing quality management strategies and process improvement practices across large programs and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to set up and implement quality management systems and processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Process driven with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to manage and motivate teams in and outside of the Project to embed quality management values and culture
  • Experienced working in a JV / Integrated Project Team and the ability to deploy a best athlete approach to processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience of delivering quality related training
  • Outstanding track record of quality management improvement and delivery
  • Excellent presentation and reporting skills.
  • Experience of auditing, reporting and implementation of subsequent corrective actions
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural / engineering / construction sectors.
  • Experience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organization influencing the improvement of process and guidance to support project delivery and reporting.
  • An understanding of Security Management arrangements would be an advantage.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to facilitate efficient quality management processes.
  • Project Support and Work closely with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor and track the improvement status to ensure timely fulfillment to support project schedules.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of non-conformance, communications, and quality management activities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on requisition status, performance, and other relevant metrics.
  • Compliance and Risk Management to ensure all project related activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to quality management and supplier performance.
  • Continuous Improvement and Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the quality management and implementation process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to drive innovation in quality processes and practices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction or Quality Management, or in a related field.

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in quality control and management or project management, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Competencies, Skills & Abilities:

  • Professional certification in quality control and assurance management.
  • Experience with ISO Standards (e.g., ISO 9001 etc.).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific quality practices and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • May be required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
  • The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit reports for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:
  • Specific knowledge related to the mechanical design of crude oil pump and gas compression equipment including electric motor drives, reciprocating engines, gas turbines, reciprocating compressors, and centrifugal pumps/compressors
  • Experience and knowledge with piping, pump and compressor station design
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Able to read P&IDs and compare with Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Specific knowledge and application experience as a project manager in a commercial environment
  • Knowledge of industry's regulatory compliance issues and standards.
