Job Description
- Develop operations for forming, fabricating, machining, and processing products based on part drawings, specifications, and other engineering materials.
- Forecast time requirements for assigned developments and prepare necessary engineering support documentation according to established procedures.
- Implement and oversee process improvements to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure updates to part and process drawings, specifications, and other engineering materials.
- Plan and sequence operations to produce parts in accordance with part drawings.
- Design tools, models, and fixtures required for part manufacturing.
- Improve current processes to enhance manufacturability, quality, and cost structure.
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in improvement projects.
- Analyze operations for automation opportunities and help implement automation solutions.
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree with equivalent experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks 3D modeling software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Practical problem-solving skills.
- Proven skill in Root Cause Analysis.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations including stamping presses, cold form heading, material flow, and tooling.
- Familiarity with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Experience with PPAP and statistical analysis tools.
- Previous experience with deep impact extrusion.
- Previous CNC/Machining experience.
- Previous experience with Automation/PLC systems.
- Experience working with copper.
