Our thriving dental practice is seeking a positive and organized person to support us as Schedule Coordinator, as one of our beloved front office team members has reached retirement! We are Tamal Vista Family Dentistry, the office of Dr. James McDowell, Dr. Dan Scott and Dr. Chris Bayer, in downtown San Rafael. We are a general and cosmetic dentistry practice who sees patients ages 3-103 ! This full time position is 38 hours/week and comes with competitive pay and a great benefits package!.
The right candidate should possess the following qualities:

• Have dental experience

• Be familiar with dental insurance

• Able to multitask

• Professional demeanor

• Great verbal skills

• Comfortable with patient education in regards to the importance of hygiene and dental treatment, particularly periodontal treatment and hygiene care

• Team player

Job Duties:

• Answer Phones
• Greet Patients
• Check patient in/out and Schedule
• Checking patients’ insurance benefits/eligibility
• Treatment plan presentation
• Fill openings in doctors and hygiene schedules
• Monitor and maintain hygiene recare and perio program
• Support in coordinating temp hygiene coverage when necessary
• Track and follow up on delayed/unscheduled treatment and hygiene recare
• Collect/calculate co-pays
• Assist hygiene team with Full Mouth Probing
• Various other front office tasks as assigned
