Job Title: Educational Director

Located in the heart of Burlington, at Tamim Academy we offer a Montessori-inspired learning experience across four classrooms: Kindergarten, First/Second, Third/Fourth and Fifth/Sixth. We are dedicated to empowering students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. As an Educational Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our educational programs and ensuring our students receive a top-tier learning experience.

Position Overview: We are seeking a visionary Educational Director to oversee and enhance our academic programs in alignment with our school’s mission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational leadership, curriculum development, and a passion for innovation in education. This pivotal role involves supervising teachers, collaborating with the site leadership team and network office, and ensuring the continued growth and positive impact of our school. This salaried position is for 25-30 hours per week, could be a combination of on-site and remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive, transparent relationships with parents, educators, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor educators and contribute to the network by sharing curriculum, best practices, and research findings.
  • Communicate learning targets and outcomes regularly to colleagues, parents, and students.
  • Promote excellence and continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and administration.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Stay abreast of educational trends, research, and best practices to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct parent and student admissions interviews and support hiring efforts.
  • Assist the Head of School in establishing site-specific culture, schedules, processes, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement educational strategies that align with the institution’s mission and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field. (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s will be considered with additional Educational Administrative experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational administration or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of educational technology and its integration into teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build consensus and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with multiple grade levels and a commitment to student-driven learning. (preferred)
  • Passion for fostering children’s social, emotional, and spiritual capabilities.
  • Visionary mindset with a passion for advancing educational excellence.
