A financial services firm located in New York City is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Fund Controller. In this role, the Fund Controller will be responsible for assisting with the design and implementation of NetSuite to keep accurate and up to date records, daily, monthly, and quarterly.

Responsibilities:

The Fund Controller will:

• Assist with the design and implementation of NetSuite to keep accurate and up-to-date records, daily, monthly, and quarterly
• Implement process improvements to move accrual basis books and records, closed monthly in accordance with US GAAP
• Manage interim audit procedures with external auditors and internal resources
• Oversee and maintain daily record keeping, journal entries, and other financial reports
• Develop, engage, and train outsourcing resources to assist with maintenance of books and records
• Identify and suggest process improvements to move towards reporting accrual basis financial statements
• Perform other duties

Qualifications:

• 4 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience working in Financial Services industry, including Investment Management, Asset Management, or Real Estate
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong understanding of NetSuite
• Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
