A New York City health services network is currently seeking a licensed Physician to join their growing staff as their new Quality & Patient Safety Officer. In this role, the Quality & Patient Safety Officer will be responsible forensuringthat the principles of highest quality and safest levels of care are integrated into all areas and acting as subject matter expert in the full range of Quality and Safety programs.

Responsibilities:
The Quality & Patient Safety Officer will:
Oversee and drive the culture of quality and safety, compliance, prevention of quality and safety issues and improvement initiatives
Ensure strategic direction, delivery and oversight of the Internal Process Compliance function
Provide clinical guidance and leadership for Patient-Centered Medical Home certification
Directly responsible for day-to-day needs of the CMO office to address quality and safety, safety and operational needs
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
Board Certification in Family and/or Internal Medicine
Quality and Safety Assurance, Regulatory, Operations, and Project Management experience
Knowledge of CQI and PDSA-type Quality and Safety Improvement structure
Experience working with community-based providers
Knowledge of reimbursement and regulations related to FQHCs and ambulatory care
Desired Skills:
5 years of experience in the area of program development in Quality and Safety and Implementation Science
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Six Sigma - Blackbelt certification
LEAN Management certification
Experience with the design and development of proactive Risk Prevention programs
Experience within FTCA/FQHC requirements
Experience in Quality and Safety Improvement methodologies, such as FMEA, Six Sigma or other similar BOK
