Tandym Tech is Hiring a Project Manager Near Glen, NJ

Job Details

A retail services company in New Jersey is looking to add a new IT Project Manager to join their growing team in Bergen County. In this role, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of technology infrastructure, application and data projects.
**Please Note: this role is hybrid 3x/week in their Glen Rock office**
Responsibilities:
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Lead the planning and execution of technical projects from initiation to closure.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify and allocate resources required for project execution.
  • Manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders regularly.
  • Conduct project reviews and retrospectives to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role, managing complex technical projects from initiation to closure.
  • Experience managing retail related projects, such as provisioning POS solutions, digital menu boards, customer self-checkouts, time clocks.
  • Experience with business process improvement projects, Service level agreements, and IT support methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MSFT Project, Proggio).
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related site visits, meetings, or team collaboration

Desired Skills:

  • Project Management qualifications is preferred e.g., Prince 2, PMP
  • Experience of data focused & integration projects
  • Experience in the Hospital, Retail, PSQ, and/or FMCG industries
