Description

Temporary Assistant Manager Position

We are seeking a temporary Assistant Manager to join our team for a period of 8-12 weeks. This position is to cover for an existing employee on leave. The temporary Assistant Manager will be responsible for Assisting the Store Manager in the store.

  • Operational Leadership: Assist the Operations Manager and ensure all daily operations are completed in their absence, focusing on the hours of operation and success of the Café & Bake Shop.
  • Customer Experience: Lead by example, ensuring associates prioritize the customer experience by maintaining a positive demeanor, eye contact, and gratitude.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure the team adheres to Tim Horton's and TMG standards, as measured by the Steritech Report and Daily Inspection Logs, across all day parts.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the care, repair, and maintenance of all operational equipment.
  • Sales Generation: Drive and generate sales through external sources and regular customer patronage.
  • Budget Adherence: Follow budgeted productivity standards for food, paper, and labor costs as set in the annual budget.
  • Team Development: Lead, develop, and hold team members accountable to company standards and deliverables, with regular performance reviews and discussions.
  • Goal Setting: Set daily goals for the team to improve accuracy, speed of service, hospitality, upselling, and operational standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory levels based on sales and product yield.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members follow safety guidelines and procedures to promote a safe working environment.

Please note that this is a temporary role. Upon the return of the current Assistant Manager, this position will conclude.

Future Permanent Role

Following the 12-week period, the temporary hire will have the opportunity to transition to an Assistant Manager at Bears Den 101 or similar role within the company. In this role, the individual will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager.

  • Assist in Operations Management: Support the Convenience Store Operations Manager in overseeing operations at Bear’s Den 101 and Tim Horton’s #4799, ensuring alignment with the company's mission of delivering excellence.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure 100% customer satisfaction by proactively addressing service issues and opportunities, maintaining brand standards throughout operational hours.
  • Productivity and Scheduling: Manage productivity, payroll, and labor scheduling to align with budgetary goals and ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Financial Controls: Oversee budget controls related to assets, inventory, and cash management to meet financial targets.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe environment for employees and customers, prioritizing safety protocols and compliance with regulations.
  • Employee Development: Collaborate with the store manager to develop employees for future growth within the TMG LLC Retail Division.
  • Operational Support: Provide comprehensive support for location operations, including merchandising, scheduling, store appearance, customer service concerns, and vendor relations.
  • Environmental Protocols: Ensure compliance with fuel and environmental protocols based on EPA standards.
  • Leadership in Absence: Assume the responsibilities of the Operations Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity in store operations.
  • Behavioral Expectations: Communicate effectively with team members, maintain a positive attitude, make informed decisions, and uphold the company's culture and reputation.
