A well respected part time Christian preschool in central Austin serving children ages 6 mos. through Pre- K is looking for an experienced, nurturing, dedicated, confident, creative and enthusiastic early childhood professional to serve as Assistant Teacher for our 2 year old class, caring for children 2 years old (turning 3) 4 days/week-Tuesday-Friday. Responsibilities include but are not limited to classroom preparation, diapering, feeding, clean up and active engagement throughout the day.

Qualifications

*Achievement or pursuing Bachelors degree preferably in ECE, Child Development, Education, or related field. (Extensive relevant experience may be substituted for education)
*Prior work experience in a licensed childcare setting strongly preferred.
*Applicant must pass a state and federal background check and FBI fingerprint check
*Ability to work from 8:30am-2:15pm
*Team Player
*Ability to bend or stoop frequently during the day and lift up to 20 lbs.
*Ability to get up and down from the floor easily.
*Strong work ethic
*Interest and/or awareness of Learning through Play educational philosophy
