Tarzana Treatment Centers is hiring certified alcohol and drug Counselors to provide assessments to patients seeking treatment for addiction and substance use disorders. Counselors are an essential part of Tarzana Treatment Centers admission team working alongside Nurses and Clinicians to triage care. Counselors conduct clinical interviews using the ASAM criteria and consult with an integrated care team. This is an exciting role for credentialed and registered Counselors to use their skillsets, motivational interviewing and recovery tools to assist patients seeking treatment. Tarzana Treatment Centers provides a full continuum of care for addiction, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Counselors assess for withdrawal management, residential rehab, outpatient, and Medication assisted treatment programs assessing scheduled patients and patients seeking care same day. 

The ideal candidate would have working knowledge of addiction and substance use disorders and would learn the ASAM assessment tool to determine level of care and identify treatment considerations. All candidates must be registered and or certified by an approved Alcohol and Drug certification agency and completion of Addiction Studies programs or in progress. Tarzana Treatment Centers hosts an approved AOD Certification program. Eligible staff are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to complete their addiction studies for credentialing.
