The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing an established portfolio of key manufacturing and industrial clients along with new account growth, as well as work closely with M&I operational teams and other department leaders to ensure the highest level of customer service and program execution. The role will require strategic market development, sales growth, and a focus on customer service excellence.
The Regional Sales Manager must have experience managing enterprise accounts while providing creative solutions to the challenges of a multi-million-dollar book of business. Effective communication skills, large customer presentation experience, and experience working with Senior Leadership Teams is preferred. This role will require close work with leadership teams that span operations, finance, & regional commercial operations and a history of sales growth in prior roles. This role will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.
Subject matter experts in their territory and specific national accounts would be assigned to manage across the company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Will manage the Business Development Managers throughout the company.
Provide account oversight, escalation of customer-impacting challenges, and a deep knowledge of accounts to develop strong customer relationships
Retention and successful contract renewals of a book of business both RFP and non-RFP driven
Incremental, organic growth/expansion in service offerings/pursuit of projects in current portfolio
Collaborate with operations, finance, commercial teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Develop new business growth via web leads, cold calls, and other sales tools
Network with key industry contacts, trade organizations, participation in conferences
Promote and consistently represent TAS Environmental values
Drive new sales growth and revenue opportunity for the company. Can cold call and manage several established business opportunities. High degree of energy and attitude.
Identify root causes of problems and create new solutions to non-routine problems; identify inefficient business work processes and recommend technological solutions to improve; consider the impact and application of proposed solutions on other projects, work units, or business information problems
Present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized, and diplomatic manner; ask appropriate questions in order to obtain information; listen to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions. Present prepared information to individual and groups in a manner that is clear and concise, holds their interest and addresses their needs or concerns
Meet/exceed customer expectations by sustaining regular contact and building superior relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the retail marketplace
Provide direction and instruction on action plans to meet performance goals and objectives; gives specific feedback on performance; provides support and follows up
Demonstrate thoroughness with all related work activities and strive to continually improve quality and productivity by prioritizing sales activities needed to best drive the business in the retail marketplace
Demonstrate excellent project management skills with large customers and understand the diverse nature of the retail climate and the changing regulatory laws.
Lead and assist internal working groups in the achievement of specific customer requests and be able to respond under stress to achieve key strategic goals for the TAS brand

BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sciences or Management or 5 years of related experience
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated success in selling outsourced services to the retail or related industries
Demonstrates established relationships or the ability to rapidly establish relationships within the C-level, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations and Marketing functions within the retail industry
Requirements:PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Salesforce
Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, DEA regulatory environment
Solid communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
Experience in managing multiple accounts, or the equivalent in related work experience
Creative thinker with ability to consider “out of the box” solutions
3-5 years of sustainability experience
