Cyber Security Engineer II Location: Remote (Preference given to those who live in the Eagan, MN, Raleigh NC, or Washington DC areas Duration: 6 Months Rate: $58.00/hr BOE The Info Security Identity Access Portfolio is in need of 1 Cyber Security Engineer supporting its Authorization Management at USPS Gatehouse Center. This resource will be working with the ISIA:Aris DAR support team. Responsible for the security architecture across a variety of applications or domains, to include cloud computing, and assigned to project/initiatives of large size, complexity and risk. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer develops actionable security blueprints, principles, models, designs, standards and guidelines to ensure enterprise information technology architecture and support is consistent, usable, secure and adds value to the business. • Review user needs and requirements, and interprets and uses IT architectural guidelines to review system architecture designs or system • Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information to integrate and migrate existing and planned platforms in support of an organizations enterprise architecture • Discern protection needs (e.g., security controls) to compare an organizations protection requirements to its information security guidance; identifies gaps in its security architecture, presents considerations for applicability and risk, and provides recommendations for remediation EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Extensive experience (5 years) in information security operations and/or related IT operational functions EDUCATION: Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security (Masters Degree preferred). CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more desired) CompTIA Net CompTIA A CompTIA Security CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker Additional Provisions: • Pass a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check. • Once candidates resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process. • If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance. • All candidates must be a US Citizen or permanent status Green Card holder. • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.) • All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative. • Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time. • The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e., collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women. Comments Work will be remote. Preference will be given to candidates in the DC, Raleigh, or Eagan areas. #zr
