Job description

Tasca Automotive Group is seeking a Delivery Driver for one of its daily routes. Home by dinner every day. 

Duties will include but are not limited to :

-Primary focus will be delivering our daily transfer FROM CRANSTON, RI to YONKERS,NY with other pickups and deliveries as needed in the surrounding area and region. Most days on average are 1-2 stops

-Must be able to pass and maintain a D.O.T Health card

-Run pallet deliveries to NJ as part of the route seldomly

-Checking of pre-staged parts for your run against invoices for accuracy every morning when loading the vehicle and addressing any issues before departure

-Owning your route, ensuring accuracy, and correcting any issues that may develop

-Converse with customers and provide excellent customer service at stops

-Pick up returns from customers, fill out the provided return slips, and ensure accuracy of info and coding for returns dept (when applicable)

-Keeping your vehicle clean of totes, trash and parts at end of work day

-Reporting any maintenance issues to dispatch

-Have and maintain a safe and clean driving record

-Have exceptional organization and planning skills

-Must be able to work through and adapt to any issues that may arise on the road

-Must be able to work independently. This is a 1 person route with an average of 1-2 stops per day aside from special deliveries and pick ups

Qualified candidates must:

Be able to start on the early side. 5-6a.m. departure. you will be home for dinner or before most of the days 

Have great attention to detail

Have excellent communication skills

Possess organizational skills to keep track of paperwork

Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs by yourself

Must be able to pass a background check

Be able or comfortable driving mid to large box trucks. This route will have a dedicated 750 with 26ft box in the near future. Smaller boxes are available for smaller deliveries

Tasca Automotive Group is a drug-free workplace, especially in company vehicles and properties

Full time (40 hours per week /-). Must be M-F. OT is eligible on this route

D.O.T card is a plus, we will send you for the test if necessary

Experience with larger, non LTL trucks a big plus but not necessary.

Pay – Depends on experience

Monthly driver bonus if criteria is met

Referral Bonus Program - When eligible criteria is met, the employee will receive up to $500 for their referral
