Special Education Paraprofessional Tatham ElementaryDescription of work: To work closely with student (s) under the direction of a teacher in an effort to facilitate the progress of the student in meeting the goals stated and to provide other instructional and support assistance as required by the teacher.Duties:- Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning.- Alert the teacher of any problems or special information about students- Participate in in-service training programs, as assigned- Guide independent study, enrichment work and remedial work assigned by the teacher- Relate to students within the classroom in a manner consistent with the teacher's philosophy in the area of discipline and Instruction- Other duties as may be assigned-Experience working with special needs students preferredQualifications:*Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained, or WorkKeys completed*Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performedSalary: Per Unit D Contract
