Job Summary:

Load Controller will select all cargo/mail for Everts Air Cargo flights. The aircraft load controller will be responsible for the weight and balance of cargo aircraft and the compatibility of hazardous material shipments on each flight.

This position has a secondary responsibility as Cargo Personnel to assist the Cargo, Ramp, Warehouse departments in Non-Safety Sensitive Duties as needed when not immediately engaged in Load Controller duties.

Essential Functions:

1. Select cargo/mail for flights based on destination, priority, date
2. Assemble/Maintain mail/cargo documentation for aircraft flight package and provide oversight of high priority/precious
3. Perform weight/balance/shoring calculations, prepare load pull
4. Communicate proper flight notifications and aircraft payload information with Flight Following, Maintenance, Cargo and Line Facility
5. Perform Aircraft Scheduling duties in absence of Primary
6. Perform cargo customer service, cargo, warehouse in non-safety sensitive functions as
7. Attention to detail, ability to ensure a high level of accuracy in all data
8. Conduct freight and mail audits.
9. Ensure timely outstation communication is conducted for all flights.
10. Other Duties as assigned.

Cargo Essential Functions:

1. Consolidate and label freight and mail for each flight. Physically locate all outbound freight using the Takeflight manifest as a reference. Consolidate freight and mail by type. Properly label freight and mail. Use efficient consolidation techniques for mixed
2. Complete accurate and detailed Load Schedules for specific aircraft and deliver all Cargo related paperwork to Load Planning within 2 hours of flight departure.
3. Ensure proper aircraft preparation. Coordinate with Ramp personnel regarding Aircraft Parking position, fuel numbers, coordinate with Flight Crew and Ramp for De-icing.
4. Assist Cargo personnel in loading and unloading of aircraft. Provide leadership as the aircraft is being loaded and/or unloaded and ensure that its being completed in safe and efficient manner.
5. Communicate with the appropriate departments and Management levels about load controlling operations, procedures, requirements, or interdepartmental problems & discrepancies.
6. File all appropriate Cargo-related paperwork including Loadmaster Checklist and a copy of the Load Schedule.

Qualifications:

1. Requires the ability to understand, retain, and deliver information verbally and
2. Requires standing on hard surfaces, floors, ladders, and work stands for extended periods of

4. Competent knowledge and ability using Computers and Email.
5. General understanding of Microsoft programs and the ability to learn company software.
