Tatsu-Ya is a restaurant group founded by Chef/Owner Tatsu Aikawa in Austin, Texas. The group is known for its authentic Japanese ramen and izakaya concepts. Tatsu-Ya currently operates six Ramen Tatsu-Ya locations in Austin, one in Houston, and a bar concept called Domo Alley-Gato Tatsu-Ya. The group has received national recognition and awards for its culinary excellence. We also operate Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, DipDipDip Tatsu-Ya, and Tiki Tatsu-Ya.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at Tatsu-Ya. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of quality and service. The General Manager will also be responsible for financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culture
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience in budgeting and financial management
- Food safety and sanitation knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field (preferred)
