Tatum by Randstad is presently conducting a search for an Assistant Controller for a well-established, progressive, and rapidly growing investment company in Irvine.

Company has doubled in size and is poised for aggressive growth in the coming years.

The primary responsibilities in this role will include:

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including AP/joint interest billings, cash receipts, revenue recognition and fixed assets
• Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly reconciliations of key general ledger accounts
• Oversee the preparation of balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
• Assist in producing quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with US GAAP
• Research, interpret and prepare technical accounting memos summarizing transactions and the related accounting literature and conclusions
• Support annual audits and quarterly reviews, providing documentation and explanations as required
• Support the execution and implementation of various financial projects and system initiatives
• Continuously assess and enhance accounting processes to streamline operations and increase efficiency
• Assist in the creation of forecasts and budget-to-actual variance analyses
• Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department with a high quality of work

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, 10 years experience, CPA, be able to work well independently as well as within a team, and top-notch verbal and written communication skills.
