Senior Internal Auditor Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive audits to determine efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and best business practices
• Collaborate with business unit management teams to gain an understanding of the internal control environment, risk, and continuous improvement opportunities
• Auditors review financial statements for inaccuracies, with a closer look at variances
• Assess compliance with regulatory requirements, financial accounting standards, and company policies to safeguard company assets
• Produce accurate and detailed audit workpapers that contain sufficient, competent and relevant findings to support audit conclusions
• Identify and document SOX controls that may prevent or detect incorrect transactions.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to audited business units with the goal of process improvement
• Effectively execute risk-based audit procedures by reviewing documents, performing observations and leveraging analytical expertise to review financial and operational reports to improve the outcomes of audited units
• Demonstrate leadership when performing risk assessments by leveraging the experience of team members in a collaborative environment and introducing innovative ideas to help improve the value of the Internal Audit function
• Build relationships and trust with management to provide recommendations that align with the goals of the organization

Desired Skills:

• 4-7 years of proven audit experience in private or public accounting
• Works well in a team environment and individual contributor
• In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices
• Independent thinker with strong communication/people skills
• Organizational and leadership abilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; 3.0 or higher GPA in major preferred
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles; knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
• CPA or CIA preferred but not required
• Must be a permanent resident authorized to work in the United States - no exceptions
