Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating machinery, performing quality inspections. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to fabricate parts accurately.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain machinery such as lathes, logic controllers, and plastics extrusion equipment
-Ability to test material in your work area
-Responsible for equipment and to assure equipment is kept on top condition
-Make sure you prepare your job for the next shift so that there is a smooth transition of work
-Must adhere to all TSW safety procedures and wear all safety equipment
-Do daily preventive maintenance checks on all equipment operated
-Must keep your work area neat, clean and safe place to work
-Learn to set-up the machine correctly and completely (in a timely manner)
-Evaluate product straightness, diameter, length and identification of tags that are involved with each machine
-Must follow instruction on the correct way to run the machine
-Must be able to help out other operators when needed
-Must check all tags for correct material being processed
-Must band all orders correctly using the correct materials
-Must have the ability to get along with fellow employees and subordinates, if applicable
-Responsible to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system
-Responsible to initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
-Responsible to control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
-Must have good organizational skills
-Must have the ability to read measuring tools (i.e.: micrometer, tape measure, etc.)n addition to the above job assignment, all others required by management
Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and adjustments
- Experience with quality inspection techniques
- Ability to operate lathes and other machining equipment
- Forklift operation experience is a plus
